Conservancy Fees and Entry Rules 2021

Conservancy Fees and Entry Rules 2021 The Galana Wildlife Conservancy is one of Kenya's real wildlife treasures, offering you a window into the challenging but wonderful world of conservation. This 60,000-acre wildlife haven is situated on the un-fenced Eastern boundary of Tsavo East National Park and on the Northern banks of the Galana River. We hope you enjoy your visit and that you can join us on our journey to help preserve this crucial eco-system and the amazing creatures that roam within its boundaries. Our entry regulations are designed to ensure the safety of our wildlife and our visitors. Please observe them strictly at all times.
Entrance Fees (2021)
Single Entry Fee - Valid Between Opening Hours - 0600hrs and 2000hrs. 


Kenya Citizen :     Adult 200 KSh.            Child 100 KSh.
Kenya Resident:  Adult 700 KSh.            Child  350 KSh.
Non-resident:       Adult $30.00 KSh.     Child  $15.00.
Camp Owner Citizen:        200 KSh.
Camp Owner Other:          500 KSh.

Vehicles: Less than 6 seats     500 KSh.
Vehicles: More than 6 seats   1000 KSh.

Educational Groups: Primary Schools Pupils 50 KSh, Post-Primary Pupils 100 KSh, University Students 200 KSh.

All fees are subject to additional Government VAT@16 which will be calculated on entry.
Proof of citizenship or residency will be required by production of a valid Kenyan National ID or, in the case of Kenyan Residents, official documentation issued by the Kenyan government.
Child refers to persons under 18 and over 3 years of age.
​Educational groups require official documentation from their School or University.


Entry Rules:
1. Conservancy opening hours are strictly between 0600hrs and 2000hrs.
2. Entry fees and Government VAT must be paid before entry to the conservancy.
3. Vehicle, driver and contact details must be provided on entry.
4. The maximum speed limit is 40 kmh. No off-road driving is permitted as it destroys habitat.
5. Dogs or domestic pets are not permitted in the conservancy, in vehicles or otherwise.
6. All vehicles must exit the conservancy before 2000hrs.
7. Wildlife can be dangerous. Maintain a safe distance and do not interrupt their natural movements.
8. Walking or hiking is not permitted.
9. Stay in your vehicle at all times except at designated sundowner sites.
10. Do not litter. Take all trash with you. Extinguish cigarettes carefully and take the butts with you.


You enter the Galana Wildlife Conservancy at your own risk. Management reserves the right of admission and all vehicles must be suitable for the terrain. If you see or encounter anything of interest, or indeed concern, please inform our team. These rules are to ensure your safety, the safety of wildlife and the security of the GWC conservation area.
